A federal court filing in the investigation of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., refers to her as “Congresswoman Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar,” Fox News Digital reported Wednesday.
Two people familiar with the investigation, including a law enforcement source, told Fox News Digital that her real name is Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.
Fox did not name them, and no official has confirmed their account on the record.
The language appears in a motion by U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro to keep sealed the search warrant for Omar’s Washington home.
Federal agents searched the home Oct. 12 as part of a probe into whether she or her father committed fraud on her immigration paperwork, and seized her phone and passport.
Omar’s office disputed the report. “This is completely false. Ilhan Omar is her real name,” a spokesperson said.
Her attorneys did not respond to Fox’s request for comment.
Omar has not been charged with any crime, and Fox notes that materials presented by prosecutors are only allegations.
She has called the raid “an outrageous abuse of power” and accused the Trump administration of targeting her politically.
