Early Sunday morning, a mass shooting took place in downtown Sacramento.
At least six people are dead, with another 10 injured.
As usual, Democrats blamed the weapon rather than the person using it, with California Governor Gavin Newsom leading the way.
It’s Violence, Not Gun Violence
The circumstances of the shooting itself are still a bit fuzzy, but it appears that it took place at or near a club that caters to the younger crowd.
Officers in the area heard gunfire around 2 a.m. and reported to the scene to find the carnage in the streets.
No suspects have been arrested, but police are hopeful they can find someone on surveillance or someone will come forward with information regarding the shooter(s).
The moment the report broke, Democrats could not wait to blame the guns rather than the people pulling the trigger.
Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg stated, “Rising gun violence is the scourge of our city, state and nation, and I support all actions to reduce it.
“Our new Police Chief, Kathy Lester, has made it a top priority, and I stand firmly behind her.”
Governor Newsom added, “Sadly, we once again mourn the lives lost and for those injured in yet another horrendous act of gun violence.
“Jennifer and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and to the wider community impacted by this terrible tragedy.
“What we do know at this point is that another mass casualty shooting has occurred, leaving families with lost loved ones, multiple individuals injured and a community in grief.
“The scourge of gun violence continues to be a crisis in our country, and we must resolve to bring an end to this carnage.”
Expect a wave of Democrats to come forward with more gun legislation that will hurt law-abiding citizens.
If they want to curb the violence, get violent people off the street.
We don’t even enforce the gun laws we have properly, and Democrats want to add more to the pile.
