A 12-year-old girl was impregnated by this disgusting pedophile after he kidnapped and raped her repeatedly. To make matters worse, this sick creep only spent 6 months in jail for his crime. But then 9 years later, a judge issued a new ruling that left everyone stunned.
Christopher Mirasolo is a convicted sex offender and one of the worst criminals out there. He preyed on young children, the first being twelve year old Tiffany. In 2008, when Mirasolo was eighteen, he raped and threatened to kill Tiffany.
He had taken her along with her thirteen year old sister and friend for a ride in his car after they had snuck out of their house one night. Instead of taking them to McDonald’s as promised, he drove around Detroit stealing gas from stations before bringing them back to Sanilac County where he held them captive for two days in an abandoned home near a relative’s house before eventually releasing the older sister in a park.
Months later when it was discovered that Tiffany was pregnant due to the assault by Mirasolo, he plead guilty to attempted third-degree criminal sexual conduct but only served six months in jail rather than receiving life imprisonment or serving at least 25 years. The prosecutor explained that first-time offenders are usually not sent to prison because people come out worse after going there however, this proved untrue in this case since four years later Mirasolo committed another sex assault on a fourteen year old victim.
Tiffany chose neither abortion nor adoption for her child despite suggestions from her family; she believed strongly that her son should not be made a victim as well. She dropped out of school and moved away with relatives while working jobs to support herself and care for her son until she applied for state aid at 21 years old where things took an even darker turn.
She was told if she didn’t disclose who the father was then she would lose benefits; shockingly it led to Mirasolo being awarded joint legal custody of their now 8 year old child without any hearing or consent from Tiffany.
The decision has drawn attention from people all over about how our system failed in protecting victims like Tiffany.
