The longest reigning monarch in England’s history is dead.
Queen Elizabeth, who first took the crown unexpectedly in her 20s, then held it for the next 70 years, has passed away.
The news broke only moments ago.
Get to Scotland!
A few hours ago, reports surfaced that all of her children had been summoned to Scotland where the Queen was spending the summer.
After several recent cancelations, rumors were surfacing that her days were numbered.
This morning, doctors were “concerned” about her health, which is when the call came down for the children to come to Scotland immediately.
From the reports that I have seen, all of them were able to make it and be by her side at the time of her death.
Prince Charles, who is 73 years old, will now elevate to the throne as King.
His wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, will be the Queen Consort.

The government has reportedly been making plans for the transition of the crown for years, so we can expect much pomp and circumstance in coming days to both celebrate her life and mourn her death.
