Kid Rock says he shared a White House dinner with President Donald Trump, comedian Bill Maher and ESPN host Stephen A. Smith, and called the evening “epic.”
Speaking on “Fox & Friends” on Friday, the musician said the dinner took place the night before.
He described two Democrats and two Republicans breaking bread, sharing laughs and having tough conversations, and said all four agreed that socialism and communism should have no foothold in American government.
According to Kid Rock, the topics ranged from the war in Iran to Maher raising the effort to bring out Afghan interpreters who had helped the United States.
He said Smith pressed on unemployment among Black women and funding for historically Black colleges and universities, arguing that the administration’s moves against DEI had scared off corporate money.
Kid Rock said the group reminded Smith of past federal HBCU funding, and added on air that he believed the administration wants corporations to keep donating to the schools.
The account is Kid Rock’s own. The article includes no comment from the White House, Maher, or Smith.
Maher and Kid Rock previously dined with Trump at the White House in 2025. Kid Rock also used his Friday appearances to promote his new album, “Halfway 2 Jesus.”
