Democrats have been in panic mode over mandates for weeks now.
After the Texas primary, that panic level escalated considerably.
That being the case, it was the perfect time for Republicans to take advantage with some anti-mandate legislation.
They did, and it passed, but Joe Biden says he will veto it if his lapdog, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), passes it in the House.

Biden’s new Office of Management and Budget boss is about to get her first test.
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) put a bill on the floor to rescind the mask mandate for travel.
The bill passed the Senate with a 57-40 vote, so it has clear bipartisan support.
Even so, after the OMB announced the mandate is “saving lives.”
The OMB stated, “Public transportation and transportation hubs are places where people across communities congregate, often for extended periods and in close quarters.
“The determination of the timeline and circumstances under which masks should be required in these settings should be guided by science, not politics.”
The White House plans to veto the bill.
On the legislation, Senator Paul stated, “Since March 2020, unelected bureaucrats have incessantly declared that we should ‘follow the science.’
“But the same bureaucrats continue to defy science by imposing an ineffective and restrictive mask mandate for individuals traveling on public transit and airplanes.
“As the entire world is learning to live with COVID, the federal government still uses fearmongering to stubbornly perpetuate its mandates rather than giving clear-eyed, rational advice on how to best protect yourself from illness.
“That is why I am forcing a vote to repeal travel mask mandates on public transportation and put a stop to this anti-science nanny-state requirement.”
I would imagine most Republicans in the House will support this bill and with such a narrow margin, I do not see Pelosi taking any chances.
There are House Democrats that want these mandates lifted, so the only way this goes on the floor is if she knows it will be defeated.
There is just no way she risks embarrassing Joe Biden and forcing him to use a veto on a bill when Democrats control Congress.
