Well, we have another entry into the presidential field, and it is a governor.
Only, it is not the governor that most people expected.
Asa Hutchinson, the former Governor of Arkansas, has officially entered the 2024 election.
Who?
I know exactly what you are thinking…
Who the hell is this guy?
If you did not or do not live in Arkansas, you are very likely to have no idea who he is.
To be honest, he was struggling during his last couple of years in a very red state, so I have no idea how he expects to win a presidential election against the likes of Trump and DeSantis.
Hutchinson is destined to be a one-percent or less candidate and likely to be out of the race before it ever hits South Carolina.
Anyone donating to this man’s campaign would be better served to flush their money down the toilet.
Regardless, he is running, so we are reporting it.
Upon announcing, Hutchinson stated, “I have made a decision, and my decision is I’m going to run for president of the United States.
“While the formal announcement will be later in April, in Bentonville, I want to make it clear to you… I am going to be running.
“And the reason is, I’ve traveled the country for six months, I hear people talk about the leadership of our country.
“I’m convinced that people want leaders that appeal to the best of America, and not simply appeal to our worst instincts.”
Sound great, but you will be out of the race in the first two weeks, if you even make it that long.
