Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of actor Chad Lowe and producer Kim Painter, has died, the family said in a statement Tuesday evening.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the statement said, describing her as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance.”
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” the family said, adding that “she was the light of our lives.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers,” the statement continued.
A cause of death was not immediately shared.
TheWrap reported that the family alluded to Fiona’s mental health struggles.
Lowe and Painter, married since August 2010, welcomed Fiona in November 2012.
They are also parents to daughters Mabel, born in May 2009, and Nixie, born in March 2016.
Chad Lowe is known for his roles in “Life Goes On,” “24” and “Pretty Little Liars,” and is the brother of actor Rob Lowe.
The loss follows another hard stretch for the family, which lost its home in the Palisades Fire in January 2025.
