The founder of one of the more popular clothing brands for the fishing and surfing crowd is now in police custody.
Michael Hutto, one of the founders of Salt Life, was arrested in connection to the death of 18-year-old Lora Duncan.
Duncan was found Thursday at the Palm Beach Count hotel.
According to the police, she had been shot.
Hutto and some of his friends co-founded Salt Life in 2003, then sold the business in 2013 for approximately $40 million.
After hearing of the reported arrest and death, Salt Life stated, “Sadly we have learned one of Salt Life’s co-founders has been charged with a felony.
“Salt Life sends their utmost sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased.”
